PARIS JE T'AIME

Once you're ready to die you'll live forever
Once you're ready to cry you're truly alive
And this life is not about being clever
It's about making the love of your life

This little poem was at an advertisement-board in the subway. It may sound cliché, but I've found my love. Paris je t'aime! Although I've been there a couple of times, the city keeps his special character with all those lights, little streets and historical buildings.

To describe the week in one word: fantastique! We stayed at a cheap, but nice hotel called: Camelia Nation. It was close to Place du Nation and the metro station. We kinda avoided the super busy touristic spots because Paris is so much more then only la Tour Eiffel and the less well-known streets are just as beautiful as the popular ones. Three years ago, Susanna and I where also in Paris and we took a picture near Les Halles with an enormous watering-can in the background. We were desperately searching for that place this time to take a new picture with the same poses but they removed it... :(

Last sunday, it was Quatorze Juillet, the national day in France. We were expecting big parades, people dressed up in national colors celebrating on the streets and little festivals everywhere because that's how they celebrate a national day in Holland. Well, turned out the French are different. Everything in town was closed and there where only some fireworks at night so we just had a lazy 'park' day to recharge.

Good to be back home but sometimes, I miss the feeling of living in a big city where there's always something going on, you just have to walk out the door.

Luckily, there's another citytrip coming. Time to count down the days for London, only nine to go!

Love,
  Sara

Oh, het ziet er zo heerlijk uit! Prachtige foto's! :) Ik was ook een keer op 14 juli in Frankrijk en toen keken we vuurwerk op het strand; dat was best bijzonder. :) En je hebt helemaal gelijk, dat filmpje is in Hilversum gemaakt! Liefs

When I was in Paris, I was taking the subway back to my hotel and I saw that poem. I immediately fell in love with it and I spent the whole ride memorizing it. Today I wanted to find out who wrote it and so I googled it and found your blog. I just found it pretty cool that someone else liked it as much as I did and do!

Als je een reactie achter laat ben je lief, maar geld doneren zodat ik schoenen kan kopen is ook altijd een optie.
